The answer is REALLY simple…

They have asked for and some times deserve anything that comes their way. And let’s convene… does anything good ever comes drunk people’s way?

I am otherwise sympathetic with victims of drunk people… like the poor guy that got run over by a drunk driver, or the boy that got knifed by a drunk “gangsta”… even the girl that got pucked on whilst trying to help her blindly drunk friend trying to get to the loo.

OK, binge-drinking makes you “happy”, makes you lose the inhibition, gets you laid of whatever… but don’t forget there is always the day after, when you find out about the photos of you posted on the internet, or of the things that you did or were done to you (worse are the ones that you never find out but every one else knows), or things that you have said, or places you have ended up that you don’t remember… If you like to make a fool of yourself then it actually sounds GREAT doesn’t it? That is… If you like to make a fool out of yourself…

Am I sympathetic towards the girl that was raped BECAUSE she was so drunk she couldn’t do anything about it? Or the guy that found out he was mugged when he woke up sleeping in the curb somewhere in town? Or even the other person that ended up in prison , or worse…got hospitalized because was driving drunk and ran over someone or e totaled the car (or both)? What about the idiot that fell from the scaffolding or fell in the train tracks because his/her sense of danger and/or of balance has got so screwed up that it was unavoidable? Simple answer… nope!

Don’t take me wrong, it is not that I don’t care enough about people or that I would not like to do something to change that. On the contrary, it is because I care that my council is always: Put it in a balance, pros and cons… what weighs more? What’s worth doing? If you say getting drunk, then my friend… you seriously need to review your concepts of good and bad… Pity…

Nope I am not Square… I have done my just share of stupid things in my life, including there some things that most people would do only if drunk, and I did them sober. Some of them I am ashamed of, others I am proud of, most of them I couldn’t care less.

And nope… I am not some fanatic religious that says that drinking is a “sin” or “you’re going to hell because you are a drunkard(do people still use this word???) lol”! On the contrary, 1 – I like to drink a glass of whine or 2 once in a while, and I love Caipirinhas and Margaritas… Difference is, you will not find me drunk on it -Sometimes a bit lightheaded but not drunk. I know my limits. And I know enough about myself to be sober when I push them. 2 – I don’t really believe people will go to hell… Check the bible closer and you will find out that hell is reserved to Satan (the adversary) and his angels (demons). What happens to the “wicked”? Well, It is my opinion that they simply won’t wake up… From dust you came, to dust you will go back… The bible talks about eternal punishment, not eternal punishing like most believe… what worst punishment than simply ceasing to exist?

Now why am I going in a rant on that?!?!?! No idea… it simply popped in my head while I was trying to concentrate (and did not succeed for my despair) in getting some work done.

Call it a public service announcement… call it being bored… don’t mind… if it is good for you, keep it, if it doesn’t make sense, read it again, if it is no good and I am not gonna change your mind, well… Ive done my job… but remember me next time you make a fool out of yourself…

TB: But I am starting to have one!

ME (looking at Vic inquisitively): IS he???

Vic: Where are you getting one from?

TB: From the shop!!! I need one because I need a pet!!!

So it is now Official: Lil Sisters are nothing more than pets and the come from the Pet shops!!! (lol)

I always wondered… hehehe

Tommy is absolutely hooked on Power Rangers Time Force. Well… this is the latest crush anyways. He is a fan of all power rangers related things, but this one is going the extra mile. I have to admit it is quite hooking… the first time you’ve seen all the chapters… but round the 3rd time it has started doing my nut. You know when the Rangers finally corner the monster, gang up together and shoot the monster (right before it grows up to Godzilla proportions)? Well that’s what I feel they are doing to my brain at the moment. Tha have decided to wage war on my sanity!

But what sort of parent would I be if I retaliated fire with fire? Daddy almost always let TB get away with murder…But I say ALMOST… I am still bad cop and Vic is still the good cop of the family. FUN

Still can’t wait for full time school hours to start tho…

Talking of school, Today he has arrived specially mucky from there. Apparently they’ve been “making mess and muck with flour, paint and other things”. Tuesday he arrived covered in yellow paint, today was something I couldn’t quite identify (lol). He’s having fun, so can’t complain!

Kathia’s back to be my guinea pig! hehehe… Her internet design classes that had to be halted because of work related issues have now resumed it’s course. And we have sort of set the time for my Internet Presence Workshops to start by the end of July! yay!

Responding to Vic’s Comment: NOPE I am not talking about you when I talk about my internet helper.:P I am actually talking about Giovanna. She wants to learn how to “play” with websites so she can help up keeping the ministry ones up to date (and of course making some money out of it as well.. fair enough). Oh… and BTW… her photobook is ready and sent to the printer… not the best photos I’ve ever done but some of the pics look GREAT!

I really do hope she can make her career work. She’ll need to put a lot more into it, of course, but I hope she can do it.

I didn’t do everything I was set out to do, but all in all it was a good day!

To close up the day here comes a small review of a movei that i thought it could be better in the beginning but as the plot developed got me more and more gripped: Doomsday! Check the trailer and then keep reading.

OK, OK, I am in an apocalyptic mood lately. And in fact I think I am actually starting to believe the end of this age is near. But u gotta admit, the signs are all there! hehehe… Back to the review, I can describe the movie with one phrase: BRITS RESPONSE TO MADMAX.

10 years late and packed with HOT nude or semi-nude chicks but still on the same formula. GREAT formula tho! It worked! The last hour and a 1/2 of the movie got me glued to the sofa. If you like action packed movies this one is basically that… And the formula: Hot girls + violence + lots of blood + cars + shoot’em up + no-men’s-land + Anarchy still = REALLY worth watching!

But be prepared, it DOES appeal to the MADMAX outfit down to the figurine and hair style of the characters (the bad guys I mean… well the anarchic ones because there are some twisted medieval figures as well… kinda cool to see Emma Cleasby kicking some serious butt).

And seriously… I really didn’t know a Bentley Continental GT could do half of what the one in the film does! lol. Maybe that is why the guys from Top Gear “love it” so much. And it seriously made me consider changing my mind over Brit cars… lol.

Catch phrase of the week: “…If you are hungry, try a piece of your friend!” (huahuahua)

I have so much to do that I have no idea where to start from!

In times like that I wish I had some help, you know… a team to work with me and not just a lot of people to suck everything they can.

At this precise moment I have 4 websites to finish, 5 info packs (3 of them needing to be done by Saturday) and 1 database to get up and running ASAP.

That without mentioning finishing up the HUB so we can FINALLY get the workshops and training up and running!

2 of the websites are supposed to generate a nice income, and have some good potential if well explored. But i once again feel so blah! I think I need a weekend away or something like that… vacations would be GREAT! But with all the money we have and don’t have invested in moving home this will not be possible ATM, not right now anyways…

I don’t even think I’ll be able to go to the Brighton Rat Race this year as planned because of that Pastor’s breakfast thing. And I think that might be the thing that is annoying me the most really… Canceling every single on of my “me” times so far this year.

Other thing that is annoying me so much is that I keep getting this flipping colds all the time!!! grrrrrrr!!!!

One thing is for sure tho: Next time we go on holidays I wanna make sure we GO ON HOLIDAYS! I sure don’t wanna know about weddings, or seminars, or workshops, or dealing with expiring documents… That happening once was MORE than enough! Last holidays to Brazil were soooooo not valid! And as so, I have now completed almost 5 years with no vacations!!! I officially need a break now and as much as it hurts I know I am not getting one. I’m gonna cry!

hummmm… ideas ideas… I think I’m gonna train myself a helper.

TB: “One and two, the one that eats the poo!”

Me: “TB don’t sing that, you know mummy doesn’t like that song, remember she told you it is naughty?”

TB: “But everybody sings it at nursery!”

ME: “But you are not everybody, you are Tommy!”

Says humpf and goes to the living room. Returns again within 2 minutes.

TB: “Daddy… can I sing you a nice song now?”

Me: “Sure, go on!”

TB: “Ok, One two three, the one that puts the poo in the toilet!”

I laugh!

TB: “I knew that song would make you happy!!”

HE smiles and goes back to the living room…

What am I to do? (lol)
