This week – in special the past couple of days – have been quite… let’s say interesting.

Where do I start from? Ok… let’s start from a piece of information that at first you might find not so important, but as the story progresses you will see that is not only makes sense but also holds the utmost importance for the plot as the apex of the narrative.

(lol)

It all started last Monday, I found a wet patch in the floor, inside of TB’s bedroom.

On Tuesday We had a meeting in Longfield to establish CWI’s goals for the next six months an between the decisions taken were the publication of a printed zine (a 4 to 12 page publication distributed on the streets and churches with the objective of informing – it will have articles on it – and advertisement for our courses and any advertisers we can round up (we’ve got unlimited use of toner from Pitney Bowes… so let’s make good use of it).

The other decision was to use the resources we have (filming equipment etc) to get actionstations.net up and running once and for all as an online TV channel and short films/series to be webcast over the internet.

That when you add the courses and services we’ll offer are designed to generate funds for CWI’s social projects like Urban Angels and the Youth Centres.

Ok… boring stuff… but if you know about the details involved you would too get excited! :)

Wednesday Internal expedient… loads of boring admin stuff… then I find out mum has bought TB a Trampoline for the garden and we’re supposed to wait for the parcel to arrive some time this week. (it actually arrived today… 2 HUGE boxes that we’ll put up tomorrow! so stay tunned for one more episode of The DIY King (of fools) where I try to put the Trampoline up.

I know… I still owe you one of the posts on it… so here are the pics of the door I’ve wrecked fixed the door at the HUB (I’ve fixed it so no one would be able to put it there… or anywhere for all that matters ;) )

The door was too big for the frame… then I made it WAY too short… I still blame Chris’s tame measurer!!! heheheheeh

Thursday is here… which brings me to the end of the suspense and the revelation of the mistery of the wet patch!

After a day full of events which included playing for 2 hours on the X-Box (Spidermand Friend or Foe – TB is quite good… wipped my ass a couple of times!! He likes Cat Woman and White sable… smart bouy… they’re hot! lol) from 6am before going to the gym and then the Hub where we take some more drastic, but long waited decisions (shall talk about them after Saturday when they get confirmed) I finally get home to the TB who is waiting for me to go to the neighbor’s and get these 2 huge boxes delivered today. They very kindly received it for us as nobody was home (TB had received some pocket money and treated himself to some Eddie Catz food at lunch time…).

It was the so waited trampoline… I didn’t put it up because I still have to mow the lawn before being able to do that. But that’s tomorrow’s (ok… today’s… 1:22am now) mission.

Now bear with me and you will discover the secret… Mum read TB as story and sent him to bed… I was siting in the sofa and suddenly I hear the noise of water hitting something solid(ish). The first thing that crossed my mind is that the boy was peeing on the bath as I had already told him not to do… so I went up there to tell him off…

What wasn’t my surprise when what I found instead was him standing at the top of the stairs peeing from the top of it… on the stairs… Of course I was not a happy bunny but after I heard his explanation I don’t know if I should take pity or laugh or get mad.

His explanation was: “I got up to pee in the toilet but it was too dark and I can’t reach the light switch and I didn’t want to pee in bed”…

Yeah… I know… I’m a softie… He still got a smack in the bottom tho…

Poor thing! :)

And that’s the mystery of the wet patch!

hehehehe… Ok… time to get some Z’s… U can get more info on the past days on my twitter.

You can also see the weekend pictures here or on the cute pic on top of the post to see last weekend’s pics. Some great ones of TB in the Rainforest Cafe and of the girls on their shopping expedition.

Well… zya!

Do you really want my advice????

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of 2008.
Wear Sunscreen.
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists where as the rest of my advice has no basis morereliable
than my own meandering experience… I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth;
oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked….
You are not as fat as you imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewingbubblegum.
The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind;
the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

Sing

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss

Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…
the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with yourlife…
the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 years old I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children,maybe you won’t,
maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky chickenon your 75th wedding anniversary…
whatever you do, don’t congratulate yourself too much or be rate yourself either –
your choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s.
Enjoy your body,
use it every way you can… don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it,
it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own..

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own livingroom.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on.
Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard;
live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths,
prices will rise,
politicians will philander,
you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable,
politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you.
Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you’re 40, it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen…

And that my friends… is my advice to you!!!! :)

God I feel old! lol

duuuuude!

does that make me feel old!!!!!

I was what… 15 years old first time I’ve heard this song!

And absolutely loved it… it was even part or my main OST
for my life… me theme song for quite some time…

I still pray for that… but some how I don;t feel as close to God as I once was…

weird uh…

1 Week Worth of Posts! Yay!

yup… this one is going to be a big one… heheheh… Partly because I haven’t been inspired to write lately (my book has been suffering because of that for the past 2 months) and partly because I have been either to lazy or to tired to do it…. I blame Virgin Active!!! :)

But anyways… here goes a lil resume of the past week! yup… 1 week worth of posts in a very resumed way… hopefully… heheheheh :)

Let’s get it started…

Saturday: It was mum’s b’day in Kent. After loads of consideration about the best way to commemorate it we all agreed on some brazilian style lunch at mum’s house after vetoing a picnic in some park close to hers because of the weather. From the last post you can read that we left the gym to go to mum’s… well we still stopped to buy me a nice gym kit (2 shirts, 2 shorts, socks, new trainers (the ones I had weren’t appropriated for running or any impact exercise for all that matters), new boxers (apparently mine are falling apart… hey…), and a new belt (one that is not so… social)) and after that we did a quick pit stop at Starbucks to refuel with coffee for the trip to Kent. We made our way through a packed M25 going through 2 diversions and arriving a stunning 2 hour late (the trip should take 45min) to arrive and find out that the picnic idea was back… Vic got furious because she didn’t prepare anything to take for herself (she knew mum would only cook or buy things she can’t it such as cakes, pies, donuts, etc etc etc… and she was right… needless to say hell broke lose… but it was a tiny bit better after she found some apples at the tee shop in Knole Park, Still not a happy bunny because of all the cake etc they had to sell there… but hey).

All in all it was a good day and TB loved to feed the deers (something that mum and Yuska should not have done as they started chasing after them because of the cakes they fed them… after we told them not to do it…

Other thing… needless to say Vic’s not the most outdoorsy sort of person… so she wasn’t impressed by the choice, by the deer or by their poo… lol… women! :)

On the way back we decided to stop at a fairground on the way back home we’ve been wanting to go for ages (u can see the pics on the album above). It was it’s last week there so we thought WTH… let’s do it. :) LOADS of fun! My favorite bits were going to the bumpy ride thing with Vic and TB and hear him laughing his head off whenever someone crashed in my car… hehehehe… Loved the last one we’ve been too… the one Vic almost went sick on (see her account of facts here)… and even though I have sustained some war wounds (one of the bullets on target shooting exploded and ended up on my cheek cutting it and making me bleed… well a lot) it was GREAT fun!

Sunday: Trip to Nan Gerda’s (Vic’s grandma). It was uneventful… same as always… LOADS of food… some pocked money for everyone… TB’s goody bag with toys and sweets… only difference was me driving most of the way… and the whole way back. GREAT change from me getting stressed over Vic’s driving (not that she can’t drive… if I say that she’ll cut my balls off) just that I usually get stressed when I’m in the car and SOME people are driving…

Monday: well… it was monday… so no comments there… only good thing is I went to games (disneyland! heheeh) and bought Battlefield Bad Company (half price! yayyy), one extra controller for the X-Box 360 so TB can play Spiderman Friend or Foe with a friend (usually me… but Giovanna was the victim this whole week) and Bionicle The Game. ah… and some peace by the end of the day… TB went to Nanny Lowe’s with Aunty Betty to spend the night… good stuff! :)

Tuesday: 2 words for you… Gym Induction… Nowhere nearly as painful as I thought it would be… I actually think I’ve coped well with everything the Personal Trainer threw at me! I was going to post my exercise menu… but it is somewhere inside my gym bag… and I don’t really feel like adventuring myself inside of it right now… :)

Also went to the hub in our first full time work day there. and on my way there I’ve noticed something on one of the tube walls:

Tropa de Elite (Elit Squad

A billboard for Tropa de Elite (Elit Squad)… one of my favorite films lately! on cinemas… here!!! COOL! :) Wanna know what it is about… well see the trailer!!

I know I know… another film portraiting the best side of Brazil… but… WTH… still GREAT! Plus I don;t like Rio anyways… and don’t recommend it to anyone… many many other better places to visit. :)

I’ve been so long out of Brazil, all over the place, that I don’t consider myself fully brazilian anymore… hell I don’t really consider myself a citizen of anywhere anymore… I like to think of myself as a “Citizen of the World”…. but all it takes is to hear or see great stuff from there shown or spoken about anywhere in the world to make me feel proud of my country again. :)

Wednesday: I felt the pain of the previous day for the whole day! So much that I couldn’t actually function very well… so much that my day wasn’t very productive… at all…

I did finish the new template for my blog tho! did you like it??? Widgetizing it was A LOT easier than I thought it would be!!!! Only problem is that I could do it only to one column! gave up doing the others after 3 hours trying… heheheehhe still looks cool!!! :) Next one will be Vic’s… poor thing has been asking me to change hers for ages… I think I’ll try and do it tonight. :)

Thursday: Took TB to swimm!!! First time in ages. He loved it and so did I! he needs to regain the confidence he used to have when in the watter… but all in all he did fine when I put him to actually swim laps on the kiddo pool (he did cheat a bit by keeping a foot on the bottom once in a while… but hey… hehehe) He now wants to go to the Gym with me at some point… he said he can “help” me exercising… :) could be FUN!

Today: Woke up first thing in the morning with Tommy sleeping between me and Vic. I don;t remember him getting into our bed… and Vic can;t either… but he woke up there… taking over good part of the bed. :) then deciding he didn’t want to go to the swimming pool with dad till the time I left to go to the gym at 9am, by when he decided he wanted to go with me. I was forced to leave him behind… have some “me time”. I was told that is more than needed… and as much as it pains me seeing him crying when I leave I know I need it. When I arrived back at home he was fine tho… mum had arrived and he was busy showing her his new X-Box games.

Right after I got home Pitney Bowes guy arrived. Yup… we’re now fully equipped to meet the demand for leaflets, posters, invitations, large range letters and other kinds of prints, meaning we can now print our own booklets and part of our printer material paying half of what we would spend in a year for it. And it means we don;t need a third part to print our brochures for the E-learning programs anymore… and can even offer printing services… cool uh! :)

Gotta step up on finishing and getting curse coordinators to finish their modules for Global Missions Study Programs (a part of CWI… some of the courses include film making, editing, graphic design, Internet Presence, music, photography, etc… if you’re interested… gi’me a shout! ;) hehehe).

Got TB’s uniform!!! And a unjustifiable parking tkt while doing it… I had the PAy and displey thing on the car when the SOB Traffic Warden gave the TKT… and it was Valid. he was VERY lucky I wasn;t there or even… HE wasn;t around when I saw the TKT… he would have been trucidated! I HATE Traffic Wardens… specially thos that thing they can make money out of me without being right… grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! gotta calm down… it is just that just remembering that makes me want to break his/her neck!!

On a brighter note… TB looks soooo cute on his uniform!!! :) will post pics soon! :)

Dinner’s ready… me is hungry… Promise not to stay that long without posting again for laziness… hehehe… But if I HAVE to stay away for that long… keep an eye on my twittering!!! :) They appear right bellow the posts as well so no excuses that you couldn’t find it… heheheheh…

zya soon!!!

Gym Bunny

Ok… I know I’ve promised I would blog about the latest DIY King (of fools) incident… but there is a fact of bigger urgency to blog about…

I've joined virgin activr

I've joined virgin activr

Under the (very bad) influence of Vic, I have now joined a Gym! Yup… I am now a “gym bunny” as Vic would say… and I have to say that even though I am feeling like roadkill (started yesterday on Vic’s personal trainer’s program… jeezzz… definitely NOT for me – and then I went and over did it at the threadmill and bycicle… I was actually feeling dizzy by the end of the first 30 mins… Vic blames me no drinking enough and then overdoing it anyways… not the smartest of ideas… I know…)… but the important is that I am quite enjoying!

Next week I am suposed to have an induction for my fitness program(was supposed to be today but Personal Trainer called in sick) and I sort of suspect that if I feel bad today then when it happened I will get to almost dead state… Can’t say I am not liking it tho… be good stress relief… and phisical exercise is good for the mind and body etc… know what I mean??? Plus I need to lose the flab!

Well wait for the scenes of the next chapter!!!

On another note… I am hooked!!!!!

I’ve heard that song the other day and don’t know why it got stuck in my head (hummm might be because of the kinda on a very welll dunno way cute girls singing it! lol)…

I am soooo gonna have to download it and add it to the MP3 Player to sing along in the car! lol!

I’ve been siting in the cafe at the Gym for the past 20 minutes waiting for Vic who is suposed to be getting dressed so we can go to mum’s b’day bbq thing… jeezz… why do women need to take that long? just to chuck some clothes on????

zya!
