We had a blast of a time at Millets Farm Maize Maze and where we went along with some Fab bloggers (queue for plugging HayleyPippa ,CatherinePaulaGayle , Emma and Jon ) and their families for the Grand Opening of the ’Special Circus’ themed day on Saturday 24th July to celebrate the beginning of the school holidays! And I have photographic Evidence!!!

OK OK… I admit it… I invaded the party just to say a quick hello to all these lovely ladies and @dotterel… (but he was probably half his way home when I got there…just in time to have my ass grabbed by @Pippad 0_o (LOL)) after spending the whole day trekking and touring the parts of London no tour bus would take my adventurous aunt.

Wish we had stayed for the afterparty… heard (and saw photos of it) that there was LOADS of boobage to go around! LOL

I’m gonna leave it for The Wife to describe how wonderful the whole experience was…

Just know one thing: I’ll surely be there next year!  ;)

Hasta la Vista.

The Wife has landed a chance to review the Tankfest 2010 for Have a Lovely Time this year and boy… how am I happy she went for it. It is no secret that I am a bit of a History Freak and I have a particular interest in Warfare History (so if you are ever going to give me a prezzie that’s a good suggestion). When we found out where it was Vic wanted to second guess if it was a good idea to go but after consulting with TB it was decided that it was going to be well worth the 3 hours we were going to spend in the car to get there.

We were supposed to leave the house at about 8am so we would have enough time to get to Bovington with enough time to see the RAF parachute demonstration… Only knowing us you will know that we overslept… and didn’t leave until about 10am just in time to roast all the way over there there.it does

3 hours later and we started seeing signs that we were close… Still no tanks crossing the road (TB was sooo looking forward to seeing one driving past us… lol). After finding the car park and being told off by the army dude organizing the car park because I was going on the wrong way to park and after taking a dusty trail to the actual venue we got to the Tank Museum.

TB got quite impressed with the tanks he saw at the door and not so impressed because he couldn’t t climb on them.

Next step was finding a shadow to sit under and have some lunch which me The Wife and Lil One did… as TB decided that it would be much more fun to zip along on a zip line they had on a kid’s playground. We ate and into the museum we went (the demonstrations had stopped for lunch brake and the museum was so much cooler than the outside’s insufferable heat so wise choice).

And there were tanks of all shapes and sizes.

And the side shows were GREAT… there was even an anti-tank sniper gun marksmanship simulator where I had to demonstrate to TB how to score 75 out of 75 targets scoring a “2nd class Marksman” score (which is complete BS as I am a certified 1st class marksman :P ) The simulator even mimics the gun recoil… quite cool… although it wasn’t very welcome on my sunburn’t shoulders… :)

TB was looking forward to seeing one of the UNSC (United NAtions Space Command… from halo) Scorpion Class Tank… I had to tell him that the Scorpion existed only on fiction… but I got to show him the next best thing… a USMC (United States Marine Corps) Main Battle Tank. he was quite impressed. ;)

But there was so much more to see… there was only one way to convince him to come outside to see the rest of the show:

And it worked…

We were soon out and visiting WWII trenches and dramatizations (or sad muppet army guys as the Wife would call them…

E even got to march with a small group of them… well… I tried but nearly dropped the whole column  because TB wanted to take a pic me with the “Marines” and the formations halted and I marched straight into the dude army man in front of me… Embarrassing…

yup… I got booted out of the military after that…

Well… I took over 200 pictures and I believe they will speak more than words here… (I’ve only uploaded the best 120 tho… :) )

It is enough to say that we loved the day out… and even The Wife took interest in some of the stuff we saw there so it has to be a AWESOME!

I’ll leave you the pictures and if you want more info on the Tank museum, yuou can check out their website here.

And if you are looking for some family fun stuff to do head to Have a Lovely Time!

Enjoy the pictures!

Saturday was a special day: It was TB’s Birthday! My eldest son is now 6Years old!

I will post the pictures of the 3 parties we made for him later on and tell you all about the cinema torture of Friday on a later post. Right now I am talking about the 1st part of the celebration: Our Visit to the Innocent Smoothies Office in London. (They are his favourite smoothies in the world apparently and when offered the chance to go and learn how to make the, he jumped at it!

Well enough talking (If you wanna see talking AND the Smoothie making itself, visit my Vlog post: Inocent Adventures).

We had a great time there and it was great see the faces of some of the people we only see nicknames and avatars on twitter! LOADS of MAD bloggers there! :)

Once we got home me and TB were starving and so we decided to share a VegPot that came with the goodie back the chaps at Innocent sent us and I committed the worse error of the day: I’ve twittered it without paying attention on my spellings like I should and the result was that:

Can you notice the typo??? Well… half of my twitter followers did… and they didn’t let it escape…

I tried to fix things by posting the 12 bellow

proof that I am eating VEG por and not VAG pot!!! on 12seconds.tv

As you can imagine… it actually made things worse…

Nuff Said????

Well… At least I have learned 2 important lessons…

  1. double, triple check my spellings… if not in the blog at least on twitter
  2. NEVER try to fix it if the typo is too bad to be fixed.

What brings me to today’s question… Have you ever gotten in trouble for misspelling something????

zya!
