Being a dad of 2 kids has been proving a bit more hard working than expected. Keeping 2 boys entertained while at home is harder than the ad says it will be! :)

For instance, one of my main functions as pater familia lately has been finding new and more efficient ways to avoid breakdown, both from the 5 year old attention sicking TB and the 3 week old Mr. A (like the new nickname??? @glowstars‘s idea… not very creative but hey…. :) )

And because the necessity id the mother of ingenuity, last Wednesday brought to light my latest creation: the baby hanger… Now you ask me: what’s wrong with the common run-off-the-mill rocking support for Mr. A’s Moses? Well nothing, except for the fact that it does the whole sort of motion if you want him to actually fall asleep.

I discovered that after actually spending 30 min swinging  the Moses as I walked around the house. It worked so I had to give it a try. And here’s the result:

What do you say?!?!? Pretty inspired uh?!?!?! :)

And who says that photography equipment can be used only for photography?!?!?!?!

zya!

PS: You might also like to check a quick video I saw about it… :) click here.

I’ve done it!!!

the glass cell (MAgneto?!?!?!) :)

I have bested my arch enemy: Speedy Gonzales.

He is now trapped inside the humane trap we got specially for him (her???) trying to eat it’s way out of it.

But I still feel triumphant!! It actually made my day to capture the damn rodent! heheheheh

My Arch Enemy has beem taunting me for a week now, running around the traps I have laid down for him/her am laughing at me as I ran after it with broom in hand. But no more!!

Today I have decided to change my tactics from passive to active.

My first measure as to set up sentries at the kitchen door.

I figured that TB's bionicles would be scarry enough for a lil mouse.

I figured that TB's bionicles would be scarry enough for a lil mouse.

I soon found out that I couldn;t be mor wrong as Speedy attacked one of them on it's way out of the kitchen!

Speedy Gonzales had a plan: It was going to zoom past the living room, into the fireplace and escape through the chiminea, probably to return later with reinforcements (I still haven’t had the chance to interrogate it…)

Unfortunatelly (for Speedy) our chiminea is blocked so the rodent fell back on it’s ass. By then I was alert and had already sieged the chiminea.

I'd set up the trap and come up with a strategy.

I'd set up the trap and come up with a strategy.

The idea was to leave only one way out (where the humane mouse trap would be already in place and then using a broom I would scare it straight to where I wanted…

To my surprise IT WORKED perfectly!!!

The culprit has now been captured and it is awaiting it's sentence in the morning when the boy will be awake.

The culprit has now been captured and it is awaiting it's sentence inside it's glass prison to be pronounced in the morning when the boy will be awake. The sentece will probably be death if the lil bugger doesn;t know how to swim... TB wants to throw it in the Wandle River

THAT was a week full of ups and downs.

RunDown: We made an offer for the Earlsfield building to move the Metanoia Cafe into… and someone upped and toppled our offer… Then I get a parking tkt for parking in front of our house, well 2 parking tickets, one in the evening and other in the morning (if I see the “£$£%^^ traffic warden that did the deed I’ll run over him/her…) Well pissed about the situation I go to Merton Council where something impossible happened… they not only admitted they where in the wrong (1 for not sending my permit and 1 for the parking tickets), but also cancelled all my Parking tkts (I had 4), printed a brand new permit for me on spot AND apologised for their mistake!!

I was like… WOOT?!?!?!?! :)

Then a new photography job presents itself from a place I would never imagine… well not without me offering anyway… :)

Then there is a possibility of taking over the website production of a website that will be seling Brazilian Exports in the UK (Specialized in clothing, bikinis, etc)… Still some negotiations to go ahead… but lets see how it goes… I’ll keep you posted.

Then I get to work today… and it all went down hill! Well… let’s put it like that… WORST Sunday… EVER!

The evening got a bit better… TB and Vic arrived from her grandad’s party and I played wit the boy a bit before he went to bed… I missed the chickey monkey today… :)

I even got some quality time with the missus before she dropped asleep.

This small victory against Speedy Gonzales REALLY came to lift my spirits a lot!

Only problem is that it spoiled my plans to go and buy a bbgun!

Oh well.. never mind!!! :)

Or should I really say that the real DIY Kings took over and did most of the job (My FIL is a civil engineer and my step-father takes carpentry as his hobby)?? lol

Ok... if they're gonna to all by themselves I might as well take pictures... :)

OK... if they're not gonna let me do anything I might as well take pictures... ;)

No… seriouslly… I think I was there mostly to make decisions today…

Of course they would go with whatever THEY decided afterwards but that’s beside the point. :)

The fact is that we’re getting things done and I am SO happy about that!

I am terribly tired… exhausted to tell the truth (after Tom – The FIL – went home I actually got to do some stuff!!!), but I haven’t fell so good in ages!

We’re hoping to be able to finish all the lil details tomorrow to be able to get the rest of the furniture moved in and the MetaNoia Cafe on the road, working, making money and fulfilling all it was designed to be!

Dude… I ming… and it is like 1am… so… off to have a shower and bed to me!

Here… these photos should tell a bit more about my day :

DIYing is kinda cool!!! ;)

Yessss… we’re back to civilization! No… not that I am calling Scotland a place non-civilized… but the lack of internet connection (apart from the one provided by the IPhone) was starting to drive me nuts!

but let’s put it like that… I was REALLY needing it! It is gonna take me AGES to get back in track but I am feeling a lot less stressed (Tired… but less stressed). I could really get used with living around the montains etc… just gi’me a half decent Internet Connection and I’ll be fine! (hehehe)

Our trip actually finished one day earlier than we planned because we broke down on the way back from Scotland to Derbyshire and we had to be towed back home by the AA guys missing a night in Matlock and going to Vic’s nan’s house.

The one thing I am happy about the trip back is that we finally got to visit CaerlaverocK Castle that was supposed to have been our first stop when we go to Scotland.

That is supposed to be one of the first castles ever built in Scotland and quite unique in the UK because of it’s triangular shape. And of course it is the only one I did proper home work because it ABSOLUTELY fascinated me because of the battles that were fought on these grounds as the castle was the main point of defense against the tyrant English being situated right in one of the best strategic positions in the border between Scotland and England! Cool uh??? Yup… I am an aficionado with medieval history (specially warfare).

The one thing about getting home earlier on Sunday (5am), was that we had half a chance to rest before Monday… :) Not that we weren’t knackered anyways… but hey! :)

Now… it is getting back to work! LOADS to do!!! Got 4 websites to put back together, a photography/film-making career to get back in track (yup…I am going back to photography…), and some projects to get of the drawers. And my friend… try to stop me!!!

Of course I’ll keep you well informed! :)

Ah… I’ll be releasing the Y+V+TB’s Most Excellent Adventure to Scotland videos as they get finalized… doing something special for ya peeps! will start editing them some point this week…

And of course there is the Pimp My Blog Award out there… Make sure to participate!!! I’ll be giving away some VERY cool stuff… Just wait and see… ;)

Almost 1am… time to go to bed… long day ahead tomorrow… well today…. :)

zya!!!

I haven’t really got much time to blog right now… but there is something I need to tell – I am actally bursting to tell – before I leave for the MH Survival in… well supposed to be 10 minutes… but knowing my cousin… I’ll sit and wait…

It is something VERY important! Wanna know it????

ok…

I have come to a sudden realization that might actually mean that I am not going to be stuck into whatever is making me stuck anymore… It is just the first step in the LONG, LONG, LONG journey… but it is a step nonetheless!

I am tired to giving a f*ck! (not in the literal aspect… in the figurative and pejorative one)

Seriously… I’ve spent most of my professional life worrying about what people thinks (no… literally… I am a Marketing Guy as a Corporate Image Consultant it is my job to know what people thinks and to MAKE them think the right way… or at least was until recently… when I got stuck in time.. OK… if you don’t yet know, about 6 years ago I used to work for a Big Time MKT company in Brazil till I had a nervous breakdown that landed me in hospital for a week and made me take the decision of quitting everything and coming to the UK – which I don’t regret a bit… that is where my journey really started where I tore myself to the ground and started rebuild block by block… what I am, what I believe, what I do, what I dream today… are all lil blocks).

I am most of all grateful to my wife who is the one that over the past 3 years has been the one providing in most things for the family while I left my field to start something new (photography at the time… you can look earlier on the blog to see what I mean, first half of 2005 if I am not mistaken… don’t really have the time now to go and find the posts of that time… sorry… :( ). The truth is if she hadn’t done that I would be stuck in my no-hours-work-life and would have never taken any steps to get out of it… And to think that it all started with a way to combat her Post Natal Depression… who says that nothing good can come from bad things???? I love you sooooo very much babe! and TB (ok… don’t neet to ge jealous)

Well retaking my train of thought… I am tired (and too old) to worry about my (late???) career… And most of all to worry about what others think I should do…

I am in the rain… now it is time to GET WET!

If I am out there to make the dream come trough… Then that’s what I am doing!

I am getting CWI to work the way it was devised to be! NOT AS A CHURCH!! It was NEVER suposed to be a church… FAR from it… it was supposed to be a tool to get people together and simply make things happen… NOT A CHURCH! Religion has nothing to do with it! Learning does… Discovering does… Touching people does… Transforming minds does… Transforming lifes does… UNITING people does… Religion doesn’t!!! (If you know me you will also know that I loathe Religiosity But I am not getting into merits of that now…)

I am going to take BO form the Idleness!!

I am going to Finish that book and take the plans out of the drawer!!!

I am going to PAINT THIS BIG OLD TOWN RED!!!!!!

And the frist nows will be announced when I return from the Men’s Health Survival… well on Monday!

so stay tunned!! (Sorry VeryBadCat!! lol)

Meanwhile I’ll be updating from the event whenever possible… so keep an eye on my twitterings and well… Whenever I have time I’ll use the WordPress App. On the IPhone (yeeesss I LOVE the IBeast, and you will hear about it for quite a while… hehehehe 2 years wait!! gotta juice it for all that is worth!! ;) )

Have a great weekend!!

zya!!!
