I have always said that I couldn’t wait until TB was old enough to go camping with me… and how much fun it would beand all the fun things we would etc etc etc.
Then last night I kinda sort of had my wishes come true…
We all love to laugh, right? Well what better than a night out at a comedy club?
Portsmouth holds a special place in our family’s hearts but even so, we’ve never managed to visit Highlight Comedy Club. Portsmouth’s Highlight is set on the waterfront of the multi-million pound Gun Wharf Quays development and surrounded by scores of upmarket shops, including factory outlets for numerous designer brands.
Recently we were lucky enough to win a table for 11 at Highlight on Saturday 4 September. We’re inviting you to join us. That’s right, we’re giving away those nine extra seats to bloggers. So that’s a two hour comedy show and a night of dancing your socks off. And just to sweeten the deal, Tourism South East are offering one night’s stay in a city hotel for the winners. I haven’t really got much time to blog right now… but there is something I need to tell – I am actally bursting to tell – before I leave for the MH Survival in… well supposed to be 10 minutes… but knowing my cousin… I’ll sit and wait…
It is something VERY important! Wanna know it????
ok…
I have come to a sudden realization that might actually mean that I am not going to be stuck into whatever is making me stuck anymore… It is just the first step in the LONG, LONG, LONG journey… but it is a step nonetheless!
I am tired to giving a f*ck! (not in the literal aspect… in the figurative and pejorative one)
Seriously… I’ve spent most of my professional life worrying about what people thinks (no… literally… I am a Marketing Guy as a Corporate Image Consultant it is my job to know what people thinks and to MAKE them think the right way… or at least was until recently… when I got stuck in time.. OK… if you don’t yet know, about 6 years ago I used to work for a Big Time MKT company in Brazil till I had a nervous breakdown that landed me in hospital for a week and made me take the decision of quitting everything and coming to the UK – which I don’t regret a bit… that is where my journey really started where I tore myself to the ground and started rebuild block by block… what I am, what I believe, what I do, what I dream today… are all lil blocks).
I am most of all grateful to my wife who is the one that over the past 3 years has been the one providing in most things for the family while I left my field to start something new (photography at the time… you can look earlier on the blog to see what I mean, first half of 2005 if I am not mistaken… don’t really have the time now to go and find the posts of that time… sorry…
). The truth is if she hadn’t done that I would be stuck in my no-hours-work-life and would have never taken any steps to get out of it… And to think that it all started with a way to combat her Post Natal Depression… who says that nothing good can come from bad things???? I love you sooooo very much babe! and TB (ok… don’t neet to ge jealous)
Well retaking my train of thought… I am tired (and too old) to worry about my (late???) career… And most of all to worry about what others think I should do…
I am in the rain… now it is time to GET WET!
If I am out there to make the dream come trough… Then that’s what I am doing!
I am getting CWI to work the way it was devised to be! NOT AS A CHURCH!! It was NEVER suposed to be a church… FAR from it… it was supposed to be a tool to get people together and simply make things happen… NOT A CHURCH! Religion has nothing to do with it! Learning does… Discovering does… Touching people does… Transforming minds does… Transforming lifes does… UNITING people does… Religion doesn’t!!! (If you know me you will also know that I loathe Religiosity But I am not getting into merits of that now…)
I am going to take BO form the Idleness!!
I am going to Finish that book and take the plans out of the drawer!!!
I am going to PAINT THIS BIG OLD TOWN RED!!!!!!
And the frist nows will be announced when I return from the Men’s Health Survival… well on Monday!
so stay tunned!! (Sorry VeryBadCat!! lol)
Meanwhile I’ll be updating from the event whenever possible… so keep an eye on my twitterings and well… Whenever I have time I’ll use the WordPress App. On the IPhone (yeeesss I LOVE the IBeast, and you will hear about it for quite a while… hehehehe 2 years wait!! gotta juice it for all that is worth!!
)
Have a great weekend!!
zya!!!
… To video games… Yup… you’ve heard it right… She’s hooked!
Her excuse is that TB MAKES her play the games for with him.
hummm that sort of explains the time and more time she devotes endures playing Lego’s Bionicle Heroes game after the TB has gone to bed… She does it “so TB has more bonus levels to play…” Poor thing…
yeah right… lol!
This morning they both woke up sick… TB throwing up and Vic well… lets say she can;t stay away from the toilet for more than 15 minutes at the time… so to recuperate they are both siting playing bionicle on the sofa… or should I say… Vic’s playing and TB is singing to the Sound Track siting beside her while he watches her play… hehehe
As I said… I USED to have an XBox!
huahuahua… I have to laugh at the conversation I’ve just heard:
TB – “My turn my turn!!”
Vic – “hang on a moment, we need to get all the pieces”
TB – “But you are gonna take for aaaaages!”
Vic – “But WE are gonna win!!!!”
I rest my case!!
On another note…
I am shocked!!!! Absolutely and completely shocked!! See? That is why I say that shops like Primark and TK-Max are lil branches of hell… well… that and the obvious reasons… watch this article from the BBC website and you will know what I am talking about! I think they have achieved a new low… with all the problems with gangs and knife crimes they sell a jacket that already comes with a knife!?!?! WTF…
yet another note…
yesterday was Cinthia’s pan-tea party (or something like that… I think the idea was getting frinds together to say bye bue to her single life… but not many friends went… something to do with the fact that she has decided to cancel the wedding party here in the UK after half of them had already bought dresses etc etc etc… Well I am not going to comment much on it as I am quite sure Vic will… lol… but let’s say she’s got what she deserved (see photo bellow)… am I too evil??? nah…
Note to self…
Never ever ever go to Chiquito’s Mexican Food again!!! Fajitas were not the best… Margaritas were still the worst and I spent the whole of Sunday with the weight in my stomach… since 3am (wen to take mum and Chris to the airport for their Brazil Expedition…)
and one to yourself…
were you thinking about watching Linha de Passe the newest Walter Salles jewel (The Motorcycle Diaries and Foreign Land)? If your taste is anything like mine… or Vic’s… well don’t bother…
That’s all for now folks…
zya!
PS: It’s Mondayyyyy!!! saaaaave meeeeeeee!!!!!!
Yup… weekend’s here and it looks like this one will be a good one!
It started like that Yesterday. C (A’s mum) (see??? I can abbreviate names too!
) invited us to come and meet up with them at the Abbey Fest Which I gotta admit it was GREAT. A mix of adult and Family night out. Great music, The burgers smelt great (even though we had kebabs after it… but Gio had one of them and I’ve tried it and it was as good as it smelled!), there was no such thing as drunkard fights or any disturbance of such, which made the perfect (family) night out.
But that wasn’t the highlight of the party… now THAT…
… was the highlight of the Party! (Click on the photo to see the whole album). The 2 of them were SO cute together! And nope, I am not being a gooey daddy and all they really were cute! The funniest thing was when we were buying kebabs, hehehe he looked at Vic and said: “A is a Beautiful pretty princess!”. hehehehehehe
We have also found a tattoo parlor at the pavilion that looked quite descent, and the right one for me and Vic to have our tattoos done. Mine will be a cross of the kingdom and she found the perfect stairs to go on her shoulder (yup… stars… no more fairies… which I think is better… and also goes better with her blogger nick… hehehe… lets see if this time we’ll have the courage to do it…
Today we’ve been to mum’s for a BBQ and to meet Pr. Elza, that together with her group are the latest addition to CWI and the Urban Angels (will blog more about it soon). It was HOT! VERY HOT, but I’ve managed to stay at my post at the BBQ (VERY Brave me!). Vic inflated the Boy’s Paddling pool in which he had a bit of a splash and was left waiting for him to arrive on Monday where he’s going to spend the week. Gio also stayed behind to have a “deserved” rest… hehehe… Poor thing, she’s soooo tired! She finally found a room to let tho! yayyy!!!
here… some pics we took before the Camera run out of battery (or before Gio run the battery out… lol)
The only part of the day that wasn’t so awesome was Vic’s Diet Pavlova… I swear I can still taste the aspartame on the back of my mouth! But I again was BRAVE and ate the whole thing in my plate… And I am only citing this bit because she recognized that was not the best thing she ever cooked.. and (YAY) next time she’s use real sugar!
Of course there are some details I will not comment on the weekend so far… but rest assured that has been the best in quite some time! hehehehe
Tomorrow, Legoland awaits us!
Stay tunned for the next episode! (lol)
zya!
(PS: The corsa has a name! Dwight (IT rimes with White lol).
