This is not what I had planned to post tonight. I had thought of something funny and a little bit witty… But after reading that I kinda thought it would be more important to raise awareness for something worthy than to publish what I had planned for today.

I got to stop and think after reading some more at Walking With Angels and chatting with Sara on Twitter and I really have no idea what I would do if I lost one of my kids. I don’t wish it to my worst enemy and if I can help raise awareness for something that can save someone else’s kids, then I am more than happy to sede this space.

Read it, discuss it, share it… help.

I am a very curious person by nature and my interests virtually have no limits so don’t find yourself surprised by what I am going to talk about today. It can be summarized in one word. One word that half the times is so full of misconceptions and preconceptions  that we never stop to make our own minds over it instead of following that age old descriptions

This word is KINK.

I could spend the next few minutes telling you all about the awesome time we had with a few very special MAD bloggers and a few friends last weekend here at the UrbanVox HQ.

Yeah… yesterday was quite an eventful day.

I absolutely LOVE twitups… the thrill of meeting people that even you know (sometimes better than real friends) even tho you have never seen in person before has something to it that gets me every time since my 1st incursions on the internet back about 15 years ago… Yes THAT  long…

Yesterday we met a couple that reminds me A LOT me and Vic when we were younger. Don;t ask me why… they just do. And I absolutely loved to meet them. I am Talking about Emma (from MeTheManand Baby), Jon and baby Oli

The plan for today was for the girls to go and learn how to make pasta… and the boys would stay here at the UrbanVox HQ and play XBox… Which we did… Jon trucidated me on FIFA2010 (he then admited that he plays it about 2hr a day… and I have never played it before… my excuse and I am sticking to it) and then I kicked his ass at HALO.

They were supposed to arrive at about 11AM but because of some hold ups at the M40 they got quite late and the girls missed the pasta thing… Which… lets put it like that… wasn’t such a bad thing because we had so much fun!! And we ate some awesome burgers for lunch! :)

Loads of shenanigans throughout the day including Oli peeing on the floor and Emma nearly giving me a heart attack because of it (seriously… I thought it was something serious… that he had grabbed a knife or something like that… this floor has seen pee before… so no biggie).

We had talks of embarrassing stories, school vandalism (I am happy to say that I was not as bad as I thought I was at school) and exchanges of bad parenting stories.

I’d like to think that true friendship was cemented yesterday. Specially after “my house elves made coffee” (Internal Joke… hehehehe)

Friends embarrass each other right??? So let’s roll the embarrassing pictures then

Hope to see them soon!!!! (That will be this saturday at the BabyShow in B’Ham… yayyyyyy!!!)

zya!

PS… Did I mention Emma hates her pictures taken??? muahuahuahuahua…

After I read the article bellow I have completely lost all hope for humanity…

I don’t know if you ever noticed that but Avatar is a movie… and Pandora is a fictional world for goodness sake!

There are far more important things in REAL Earth to maky you feel depressed or even to LIFT you out of the depression…

I know London had the second highest index of depression in the world but for goodness sake… IT IS JUST A MOVIE!!! You either understand that or you will have to accept that vampires and werewolves exist (sorry Ed and Jacob teams… they DON’t).

The fact is that people keeps trying to find any old excuse to be depressed now a days… it is chick and fashionable to be depressed and 60% of the times WE ARE THE ONES THAT PUT OURSELVES IN THAT CONDITION!!!

“I even contemplate suicide thinking that if I do I will be rebirthed in a world similar to pandora (where) everything is the same as in Avatar” – Mike (some poster according to METRO)

OK… I admit that a movie can make you sad and gloomy right after you see it… but contemplating suicide because the world you live is not just like the one you just saw in a syfy movie?!?!?! Come on… just GROW UP!!!

“Visual realism in the film is causing the depression, claim experts ” It makes real life seem more imperfect” said New York Psychiatrist Dr. Stephan Quentzel.”

My advice to you: Go and watch the movie… it is awesome… and it didn’t make me slightest depressed… apart from the fact that I’ll have to wait for a while to what the sequel…

If you feel like sad and gloomy and depressed afterwards, go and see a doctor… You might even get happy pills prescribed… fun isn’t it??? I promise I won;t think lesser of you if you get depressed because of Avatar and Pandora… (yeah right…)

Am I being too harsh??? Maybe… I am in one of those moods today…

But how about you??? what do you think of all that “I am depressed because I’ve seen a sad (not at all) movie” thing??

zya!
