There Ain’t no club like the Penguin Club

A couple of months ago TB came back home after spending the day in a friends house talking about a website that had a penguin that had a rocket pack and would fly and have adventures with other penguins online.

He then went on to ask me to put the said website on so he could play on it… but he didn;t remember the name of it and I couldn’t find it anywhere.

What I did find was a Disney game for the Nintendo DS Called Club Penguin : Herbert’s Revenge which was all about a penguin Secret agent.

what I didn’t know was that the DS game only scratched the surface of what is the Club Penguin.

Yesssssssssss!!!

We are on the finals!!

I am talking about The MADs award for Most Innovative MAD blog!

I have no idea how that happened… well I do know and all I can say is THANK YOU ALL for the vote that put the UrbanVox HQ there! First of all… sorry for taking so long to publish the results of the Laughing monkey awards…

As I have explained before… new job… and one heck of a manic week at it (we’re running a world cup special this month… LOADS of designy things to do… but it is finally over! Mag should be on the streets today… yayyyy )

Anyway… back to the award…

It was one of the most difficult decisions ever… I mean… I’ve never seem a group of people so willing of showing their embarrassments to the world… and how… each more embarrassing than the other…

It took loads of time and consideration to reach the veredict we have (and recruiting a 3rd judge to make the final decision…) but we got there at some point last night…

and the winner is… Gemma… with her 3 part most embarrassing moment EVER… If you haven’t read it yet… go and take a look… It is well worth it.

Thanks to all for joining the fun and being gracious enough to make an entry! You all deserve the laughing monkey award so wear that badge loud and proud and stay tuned for more stuff like that here at the UrbanVox HQ.

WOW… It Is Wednesday Already!!!

And where did the past week go????

Time is ticking away!!

I had plans and things to do and so many things to finish it seems the things I had to say got sidelined.

Why all that? Well, if you follow me on twitter you will find that I’ve been quite secretive with some great news that I have been waiting to make themselves concrete for a couple of weeks. Well the thing is concrete now so I can say it loud and proud! I am the new Designer responsible for the diagramation of BrasilEtc Magazine (one of the main mags dedicated to the Brazilian Community in Europe published and distributed in the England, Germany, Ireland (both of them), Belgium, France, Holland, Italy Spain and Scandinavia and soon in Scotland and USA.

I took a break to tell the news because If I didn’t unload, the creative juices inside won’t flow (I think that is a good excuse anyway!! ).

It is a short break so I will maximize time and tell you what we’ve been up to the best and fastest way I know: An image says more than 1000 words.

So… Friday: We went to see How To Train your Dragon in 3D at the big IMAX. First time there for the 4 of us (yup 4… Mr.A came with us and actually behaved well throughout the film! Me and Vic Loved it and TB was well impressed (even for his 3rd time watching the thing… something to do with the size of the screen. ) from there we went to the park to wait till rush hour was gone! FUN!

Saturday: We did nothing… no… literally… NOTHING! And there is good reason!

Sunday comes with a surprise: I cut the grass!!!! yup… rare stuff and it had to be commemorated with a BBQ and Marshmallows ! But not before I fell inside the rabbit hole!!! (nope I didn’t end up in wonderland or any other pot head world of fantasy… heheheh)

Monday: Monday was… well Monday…

Tuesday brought loads of work to do so no time for pictures… as it was today

But I am getting thigs done… then that makes me happy!!!

Shameless Self Promotion

Yup… as you too might already know I too was nominated for The MADs and as it is my obligation… no… MY DUTY… I am here to shamelessly BEG you to come and vote for me!!!

I was going to write a cool post talking about why you should come and vote for me… but The Wife did such a great job that I will shamelessly just plagiarize what she wrote on her own blog (I know u gonna read that baby… but it is in the best of interests that I do that and you know it!!… ).

There it goes!!!

Yes, you know what’s coming. And for those who don’t, nominations are flooding in for the MADs, a brand new set of awards celebrating British mummy and daddy bloggers. By now most people have probably put in their nominations and if you haven’t, well then let me sway you with a little bribery.
