After I read the article bellow I have completely lost all hope for humanity…

I don’t know if you ever noticed that but Avatar is a movie… and Pandora is a fictional world for goodness sake!

There are far more important things in REAL Earth to maky you feel depressed or even to LIFT you out of the depression…

I know London had the second highest index of depression in the world but for goodness sake… IT IS JUST A MOVIE!!! You either understand that or you will have to accept that vampires and werewolves exist (sorry Ed and Jacob teams… they DON’t).

The fact is that people keeps trying to find any old excuse to be depressed now a days… it is chick and fashionable to be depressed and 60% of the times WE ARE THE ONES THAT PUT OURSELVES IN THAT CONDITION!!!

OK… I admit that a movie can make you sad and gloomy right after you see it… but contemplating suicide because the world you live is not just like the one you just saw in a syfy movie?!?!?! Come on… just GROW UP!!!

My advice to you: Go and watch the movie… it is awesome… and it didn’t make me slightest depressed… apart from the fact that I’ll have to wait for a while to what the sequel…

If you feel like sad and gloomy and depressed afterwards, go and see a doctor… You might even get happy pills prescribed… fun isn’t it??? I promise I won;t think lesser of you if you get depressed because of Avatar and Pandora… (yeah right…)

Am I being too harsh??? Maybe… I am in one of those moods today…

But how about you??? what do you think of all that “I am depressed because I’ve seen a sad (not at all) movie” thing??

The other day me and the TB were watching YouTube videos (TB is quite a fan of a few videos you can see around there) and we found some LEGO stop Motion super productions. Since that day we’ve been entertaining the idea of doing something like that.

Now… I might know my way around film making and am OK with editing stuff (although this is far from me speciality) and I am not stranger to the stop motion concept – I mean it has to be at least a bit similar to animating using flash, right??? WRONG!!!!

You have NO IDEA about the amount of patience you need to get the whole thing into place. What with the whole moving the characters frame by frame, positioning of the camera and light, managing your crew (specially if your crew consists of a hyperactive 5 year old) then photographing frame after frame… If you know me you will know that I believe patience is an incredible virtue but that patience is NOT a virtue I have to spare…

The script is simple: A group of lego clone troopers (let’s call them red squad) attempts to rescue the princess from the giant sleeping boy in the second floor of the house and return to the trooper carrier… In theory that as a simple idea, that would not take long at all to finish… in a more practical scale I am starting to believe I should scale down the thing… A LOT!!! hehehehe

Once you watch the clip I’ve made to test frame rate you will see what I mean with that… That was just a test I glued together… but now taking a look at it, the thing is scarring me shitless…

It took me between 4pm and 2am to do what you are going to see bellow… Well… I admit the project is ambitious… but hey… hehehehe

Do you like Horror/mistery games? Are you a sci fi addict? Did you ever play Dead Space? Then you are gonna love this anime as well…

In the game when an immense mining ship, the USG Ishimura, comes into contact with a mysterious alien artifact in a remote star system, its communications with Earth are mysteriously cut off. Engineer Isaac Clarke is sent to repair the Ishimuras communications array, but he arrives to find a living nightmare—the ship is a floating bloodbath, the crew unspeakably mutilated and infected by an ancient alien scourge. Clarkes repair mission becomes one of survival as he fights not just to save himself, but to return the artifact to the planet at any cost.

Well… It wasn’t really my sort of thing… But you can expect LOADS of blood and gore in the Prequel explaning the the happenings of the Game with the same name.

I haven’t actually played the game on the XBox but I did play the promo game in http://www.noknownsurvivors.com a couple of months ago and it actually looked GREAT and that was anough to guarantee my attention to the movie. I kinda wanted to know what happens without having to think myself about all the alternatives… hehehe

A good waste of 72 minutes…  :)

Like anime? Well watch it and let me know what you think. The movie is availiable in DVD and Blue Ray.

Here at the UrbanVox HQ we go through extensive amounts of films and TV series per week. Yes, we are addicts and as so we are always looking for the new releases and organizing our evening agendas according to new releases etc etc etc…

So, it was no surprise when I wanted to watch the movie from the first time I saw the trailer! but it kinda kept being pushed to the back of the queue in favour of our favourite TV series.

But then I saw @GeekMama‘s twit asking why Alien Angels need spaceships. That was enough to wake up my curiosity.

So that’s how The Knowing got jumped to the front of the line!

Please not that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the current series of end of days sort of movies I’ve been watching lately. They were chosen at random and just ended up being one after the other…. heheheheh

So where do we start then… Let’s see… Ah yes… Before anything you have to know that I am a firm believer that we are not alone in this universe and if you stop to think about it every single sacred book we have available is some sort of proof of it.

It kinda makes sense doesn’t it? Imagine how the pre-Columbo civilization of the Americas felt about the wite faces when they first arrived to the new continet: They thought they were gods or even sent by them.

But now I think I’ve blabbed too much… hehehe… if you follow my twits you already know what I think of the movie. And the verdict is that I LOVED it!

It had it’s slow moments and all but I suppose they had to have some introspection in a film that talks about the end of the world. The only thing missing was the cliche of the night-before- we- are- all- gonna- die- sex-scene but we don’t live in a perfect world… LOL

The Alien Agels have that City Of Angels sort of look… on a macabre sort ow way… the whisper people are CREEPY!!

I know Nickolas Cage is not the most loved interpreter in the world but If you haven’t seen it yet you should! It will keep you on your toes for a while. And the end might surpreend… and it will probably NOT be what you expected! I had 5 theories before the end of the movie…

One word… COOL!

OK… Now I am curious…

So… Am I the only one who thinks Emma Watson is kinda hot!?!?!?!

Sure, by all means she is NOT top model material (even though she seems to be on the cover of every other magazine these days) but you gotta admit she has gone a long way since Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001 and it was just a matter of time for things like that to start emerging all over the internet. Nice boobies by the way…

Nope… I am not following a trend… I have said time and time again that she has that “girl next door (ish) characteristic about herself that makes her quite what’s the word??? Attractive?!?!?

The fact is that we all have that little Voyeur thing deep inside, and if you tell me you don’t than I am sorry to have to tell you you are a VERY WEIRD person.

Mate… That is part of being a member of the human race… And if you are about to condemn me for that (I’ve been told to “gt a hold on myself” when I commented on my Vlog that she is HAWT…) … well… so be it because we are all doomed then.

Now… what prompted that post again?!?!?

Ah… yeah.. Now I remember… I’ve just seen Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince… Dude… Good job I like the series anyways because compared to the book the film is RUBBISH!!

OK… Not THAT bad… but it kinda makes you feel like they left out SO MANY things out… like for example Harry being paralyzed as Snape kills Dumbledore. And there is no fight AT ALL between the DA and the Death Eaters when they infiltrate Hogwarts…

RUBBISH!!!

Watchable rubbish… but hey…If you haven’t read the books you might even like it… I which case I am REALLY sorry for the spoilers…
