Ok… If you know the lyrics of the Sugar Ray song it actually says every morning instead of Monday morning… But at this precise moment it is conveying my feelings about monday mornings so shut up babe don’t say a word!!! ;P
This post will be a quick one… I just want to make some points and if I am wrong, PLEASE correct me!!!
So my dissertation today is on the subject: mondays suck big time!
Ready to start? Let’s go!!!
To make my point I will list my points here, and if you find more positive facts that I can find negative then I will not hate Mondays for the rest of the month! Ah… Consider also that it is still 10am so a lot can happen still!!!
Let’s rock then!
- I fell asleep at 4am(ish)! Turned all night in bed, mind racing with all and everything, heater was off but the house was an oven feeling pain in all my limbs… Got woken up at 6:30am… Still feeling exhausted! I think I’m getting old!
- I’m getting old!!! And granpier by the day!!
- it is flippin cold!!!
- get Tb ready for school wasn’T as hard as usual but… Ok, scrap that one, after he had his shower he was actually quite good to deal with!
- left the car to get fixed again!!! I am afraid of how much it is going to cost to get it repaired!!!
- got clients that need to pay me but are giving me a run for my money! Why can’t they just do it!!! Latest excuse was: I “forgot” to feposit the money! Grrrrr!
- The council tax people didn’t take the money from the account AGAIN and now and now we’re in trouble again! What’s their problem I don’t know money was there to be taken and I had to set up this bloody dd 3 times already!!! Ah and I gotta sort that today!
- Hsbc people gave me the wrong statements! Can’t they just listen to me once????
- Got more stuff to do today than I could phisically manage… What’s new there tho…
- did I say that it is flipping cold today??
- my vanilla latte is now cold!!
- I am exhausted… And the week didn’t even begin yet…
- today is Monday… Need I say more???
Ok… I can’t think of anything else…
So please give mr a reason not to hate Mondays… Well at least for the rest of the month!!! Hehehe…
Ah… And don’t come with the you still have your health argument… I’m not sure that one will work very well as I have sintoms of severe stress… Last time I had it it landed me in a hospital for a week…
Me not likes hospitals!!!
WTF happened to me??? I used to be the mosy positive person I know… Right now… Well… I don’t seem able to see the light…
I hate that!!!!
Loads to do… Enough processtination… And my thumb is hurting…
Zya!
Yessss… we’re back to civilization! No… not that I am calling Scotland a place non-civilized… but the lack of internet connection (apart from the one provided by the IPhone) was starting to drive me nuts!
but let’s put it like that… I was REALLY needing it! It is gonna take me AGES to get back in track but I am feeling a lot less stressed (Tired… but less stressed). I could really get used with living around the montains etc… just gi’me a half decent Internet Connection and I’ll be fine! (hehehe)
Our trip actually finished one day earlier than we planned because we broke down on the way back from Scotland to Derbyshire and we had to be towed back home by the AA guys missing a night in Matlock and going to Vic’s nan’s house.
The one thing I am happy about the trip back is that we finally got to visit CaerlaverocK Castle that was supposed to have been our first stop when we go to Scotland.
That is supposed to be one of the first castles ever built in Scotland and quite unique in the UK because of it’s triangular shape. And of course it is the only one I did proper home work because it ABSOLUTELY fascinated me because of the battles that were fought on these grounds as the castle was the main point of defense against the tyrant English being situated right in one of the best strategic positions in the border between Scotland and England! Cool uh??? Yup… I am an aficionado with medieval history (specially warfare).
The one thing about getting home earlier on Sunday (5am), was that we had half a chance to rest before Monday…
Not that we weren’t knackered anyways… but hey!
Now… it is getting back to work! LOADS to do!!! Got 4 websites to put back together, a photography/film-making career to get back in track (yup…I am going back to photography…), and some projects to get of the drawers. And my friend… try to stop me!!!
Of course I’ll keep you well informed!
Ah… I’ll be releasing the Y+V+TB’s Most Excellent Adventure to Scotland videos as they get finalized… doing something special for ya peeps! will start editing them some point this week…
And of course there is the Pimp My Blog Award out there… Make sure to participate!!! I’ll be giving away some VERY cool stuff… Just wait and see…
Almost 1am… time to go to bed… long day ahead tomorrow… well today….
zya!!!

So… I’ve taken the Corsa for servicing for the first time…
It was something expected already, both because well… you always have to when you buy a used car and second, because when I bought it I was told, and actually heard the noise indicating that the exhaust was banging a bit (and got myself a discount on the price of the car on account of it).
I’ve been meaning to take the car to Kwik-Fit ever since I brought it home but my “busy schedule” has not allowed me to do it until yesterday. So… first thing I did when I woke up yesterday was take the car to Kwik-fit so I can tight the nuts and bolts that needed tightening in order to let Vic lose on the road to go and visit her mother while I went to the Hub.
IT so happened that the problem was a bit more than fixing a bolt or 2… We found out that whoever did the last bit on that exhaust instead of melding the pipe like any good professional would do had instead wraped the stuff on foil and covered it on duct tape. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EARS… THEN MY EYES!
And it was made in such a way that you would not find out if you didn’t take the whole thing apart! This seemed to be the cause of all evil, so I have authorized them to change the whole thing… I would spend £40 more than the discount I got on the price of the car, but it would be worth doing it.
That’s where the story begins.
The told us at first that it would take about 15 minutes to get the thing together (after a 1:30hs minute wait list) tog get the car sorted. So I go VERY happy with that. Plans were going according to schedule for once. Then one hour had passed… two… and every time I asked I was told 15 minutes were needed… 4 hours and a whole afternoon wasted in the garage passed and I had already lost my patience so I went to speak directly to the Mechanic instead of the manager that was trying to play with me…
HE seemed genuinely shocked that the manager didn’t told me what happened yet… apparently there was ONE piece of pipe (about 10in long) that was needed to finish the service… and they had it in all sices an diameters… but the one we needed. So… long story cut short they could have told us what happened anout 3 hors before but decided instead to look for the pipe not just there but trying to order it to be delivered there and then… while we waited… Great service, if you discount the fact that Vic was waiting to go to her mum’s and TB was there and bored for a loooong time and already causing chaos and havoc all over the place!
And nope… the car is not ready… apparently the lil piece of pipe will arrive Monday Morning when I’ll be able to pick up the car at (apparently) about 11am. Weekend plans scrapped.
Never mind… I am actually enjoying staying at home for once.
Vic’s mum’s here playing with TB who insists in showing her his whole Toys collection… again… keeping him quiet which is always GREAT!
Meanwhile I’m playing with urbanvox.net’s new interface… still some work to do… but looking good… quite flashy! lol!!!
