The Boy can rock some photography!!!

Vic’s been out today with AB (I like it more as AB than Mr.A… cooler codename as Mr.A reminds too much of Mr.T’s ” I pitty the fool!”… and you just can’t take someone seriously after that… heehhee). She went to the long waited Reebok event that she’s been on about for the past month or so. and because she didn’t want me ogling loads of hot mama’s in gym wear I haven’t spent much time on TB since AB was born she gave the idea that maybe we should do something together, just the 2 of us.

I loved the idea, and asked him what he wanted to do. He wanted to go to the cinema to watch “how to train a dragon” (or something like that) in 3d.  The first thing that came to my mind was ”this boy spends so much time in front of a screen already (be it watching TV, playing on computer or xbox or even watching films in his portable DVD), no… I wanna do something outdoorsy “. Since camping is out of the question at this precise moment I came up with the second best: We would go for a walk in the park. And to make things a bit more interesting we will each of us be equipped with a camera to take pretty pictures of the “adventure”.

Now, there is another thing about TB that he must have taken from me: He loves taking pretty pictures!

Since Vic took with her the camera I usually let him use, I’ve let him take my FujiFilm S9500 while I took the “robust” D100 I only use at the studio because let’s face it the thing is VERY temperamental!! Or it might just be that the Fuji is so much fun to use that it has to be my favourite. It is an entry level DSLR that if I’m not mistaken has now been discontinued but according to one of the teachers at London School of Arts is the best one can get to get started.

OK OK… enough talking about Camera Porn… :)

Before we left I had to clean up the memory card because he insisted on “practising” and took 58 of those:

I could post more off them but I suppose you got the drill… :)

After we finally finished practise I managed to pry him off the xbox and out of the door on our way to the park where he took those (click in the thumbnail to see the whole picture):

Now if you know me you will know that I am not very keen on being photographed… and I repeat what I always say: “I rather take my place in the picture behind the camera!”. But WOW!!!!! I LOVE THOSE PHOTOS!!!! The Boy is a natural!!!

And as you can see in the ones I took (the main subject obviously being TB) he even looks the part!!! Check it out:

Then of course we got to the adventure playground and he gave me his camera to go and play in these:

Boys will always be boys… :)

In any case I simply ADORED the day out (rainy and all)… and it definitely asks for a repeat much more often than not!

I think I needed that… :)

And I can die with the hope that maybe someone will take UrbanVox Photography to the next level when he grows up… what???? you never know… The boy has got the skills might as well dream with him maybe working with me… ;)

wow!!! 1:30am already… it is officially My birthday!!!! yayayyyy!!! :)

The big 3.0…
