Gallery: 24 Hours (33/365 – I’m so late!)

You know me and you will know that I am practically 24 hours on the run… So this week’s assignment for The Gallery @ Sticky Fingers is perfect for me.

My first idea was to maybe take a pic of myself every hour of the day  and then post all of them as a gallery….

Then I answered a phone call… and something downed on me… that I could summarize my 24 hours with one photo of one object…

The iMonster is with me from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed… and in between… 24hs a day…

It is my bridge to my friends and girlfriend and family… it keeps me updated on what’s going on… it is my mobile office… and it is a source of entertainment, not just for me, bu for the kiddos in my life (and I include Hales on that one… hehehehe)…

It helps me sleep (I usually plug myself into it at night with ambience sounds and /or relaxation exercices…

It is my flashlight!!!!

It wakes me up as I use it as an alarm…

Well… it keeps me connected and wired 24hs a day….

So here you go… my 24 hour assignment is done!!!!

Bring on the next!!!!

The Gallery: Shapes

If it is shapes you are looking for then look no further than the Spinaker Tower in Portsmouth… I mean… Look at that!!!

PS: Sorry for the video with the annoying song that will probably be stuck in your head for the rest of the day…

I just couldn’t resist… ;)

The Gallery: Children

I have 3 very special boys in my life.

They were born in different families and grew up in a different set of rules all together but if they were blood brothers it wouldn’t have worked out as perfectly…

The 2 eldest ones are inseparable when together. I love to see the way they plan things and after much negotiation agree on rules of their games. Yes, they have times where they want their space and that causes conflict sometimes… but it all evaporates within minutes when a new game begins… The littlest one is going the same way and I can actually see the 3 of them causing even more havoc together…

The 3 terrors we call them… :)

It is still all very new… for all of us… but as this new family grows we’ve been putting the little pieces together.

I don’t talk much about the bible… but I have an example to take from it… “We need to be like children if we want to be in Heaven”…

If we only learned to follow the logic of our children there wouldn’t be any more war, or enemy countries… Imagine a world where we could all live in peace? Utopia??? Maybe… Bit I believe we are the ones responsible for making the earth we live become paradise… or hell…

There is always a new lesson to be learned from our Children…

Being grown up doesn’t make you wise…

What have you learned from the children in your life today????

You can check out more Gallery posts at Sticky Fingers! Some awesome stuff there! And if you like what you saw here, well… leave me a comment!

:) I likes comments! :)

The Gallery – Body Parts

Ah… New year, new resolutions, new styles and new Galleries!! :)

First of the year made me think… The Theme: BODY PARTS!!!

First thought I had was to publish something naughty… but I had to rethink that one… some people already think I am a perv… Which I am not…

I am, however ,a lover of the human form!!!! So body parts was a perfect start for the year!!!

I hate taking photos of myself so am not going to use any of MY body parts… and using the kids as models would sound a bit dodgy… so what do I do??? Use my gorgeous girlfriend and my favorite body part of her!!!!

I know you were thinking something completely different (you perv… lol) but that is the body part I love the most on Hales…

They say the eye is the Window to the Soul… and I can definitely lose myself in her eyes…

Yeah… I now… soppy… romantic… tacky… call me what you want… I love “old style”… ;)

zya!

The Gallery: Celebration

I had to give some thought to that one…

Well, if you know me you know the importance my grandma has in my life. She has always been my compass and my conscience and a beacon in times when I felt lost. She has always had a word of wisdom for every situation… and if I thought her words didn’t apply I still followed her council:

“Hear everything, use what’s good… forget what’s not”

She is my rock… And now I’m about to lose my footing as she is between life and death in an ICU in Brazil.

I however refuse to drop any more tears. She would’t approve of it.

Instead I celebrate her life and I’ll celebrate all she is leaving behind… Those things are priceless.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Time to retire the sword…

She asked me to keep strong, and embrace life and all it is giving me… And that is exactly what I plan to do.

I celebrate the life of Alda Nunes Perea… I celebrate my Rock.
