You see… I don’t usually reply to memes… but that one was posted by my favourite distraction and I can’t just say no to Emma can I?

:)

So… Liphook… where do I start from??? We’ve been living here for ummm about one week now so you imagine how much I can tell you about that picturesque pretty little Village…

Where to start from?!?!?!

We live here:

Yeah… quite different from living in London like we did just 5 days ago…

We are no strangers to Liphook. The wife spent most her life before we met here actually and we used to come along every year for the Liphook Carnival… That and the MIL’s world famous Roast Dinners (remind me to comment on the the MIL’s culinary skills at a later date).

Living here is a total new experience to me as it is THE FIRST TIME EVER I live in a small town. For one side I am finding the novelty awesome… trying out the country side life is inspiring me to get quite a few projects out of the drawer… and to pursue a few others together with TB and soon also with Mr. A (we’re gonna grow a vegetable patch!!! and our own tomatoes!!! ) And I am considering transforming the Garage in a den/studio, so just wait and see.

The other side of me is terrorized (Did you know the only computer supplies shop in town only opens in the morning??? I supose I should be grateful there is one at all… but hey… :) The silence gives me headaches!

The village has about 8000 inhabitants and it is located 4.1 miles west of Haslemere down the A3 from London and in the Coaching era was a midway point for post sent from Portsmouth and Southampton to London. Local tradition has it that Lord Nelson spent his last night in England in Liphook before sailing for the Battle of Trafalgar.

Local attractions include the Forest Mere health spa and Hollycombe Steam Collection. On ‘the night the clocks go back’ (usually the last Saturday in October) the village plays host to the Liphook Carnival, a procession of floats through the village followed by a bonfire which has taken place since 1903

Apart from going to The Anchor there isn’t really much to do in town but at  least I can still have my summer distractions!!!! ;)

Life is a journey… And I feel I am embarking in a brand new one.

How is it gonna be living in the town I live? I have no idea…

But I am sure going to my best to make it fun!!!!

Hasta La Vista

Well… the London one anyways… we can haz a new house a new space, new projects and new possibilities for adventures…

How is Mr City Boy survive the Village life????? How will he cope when @Glowstars goes back towork? What shenanigans will the 2 offspring pull next while daddy tries to run his internet empire (OK… that was too much right??? hehehhe)

Stay tuned for the next episodes of UrbanVox.Net! ;)

Hasta La Vista! ;)

I want to live in a house completelly made out of legos!!!

I wish I had this idea… and the money to buy 3 million bricks of lego… :)

The presenter of Top Gear, James May is up there and living my dream – and most of all TB’s dream in the middle of Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking for the BBC series “James May Toy Stories”. I a, soooo gonna have to watch that!!!

May has vowed to live for a few days in the life-sized house, which comes complete with a working shower and toilet, once it has been completed.

I’m planning to stay there for two or three days, or until it falls down – whichever is sooner.  I’m pretty relaxed about it, but will just have to be careful moving around. If I wake up buried under a pile of bricks I’ll know it’s gone wrong.

Well one thing is for sure… if it works that COULD be a way to make housing prices go down as I am sure building houses out of legos would be cheapper than out of bricks! Not that some of the modern houses you see out there don;t already look as if they are made out of lego pieces but hey… :)

The most worrying thing of all is that he said he had the idea whilst having a beer with friends! Who said nothing good comes out of alcohol!!! LOL

As I said… I am soooo gonna have to watch that program with the TB. Too bad really they didn’t do it coser to us so I could take him to give a hand. They were letting the kiddos help make the mega bricks for the building! hehehe

I wanna live in Legoland!! How about you?? Would you live in a Lego House?!?!?!

Today’s hunting was a COMPLETE waste of time… Fiasco!

Ludlow Thompson has promised and has NOT delivered.

To be more precise we didn’t even have to leave their office… It was taking a look at the list of flats they had to show us and see that none of them had what we have asked for… Apart from 2 bedrooms…

One down… an ethernity to go… lol…

I hope we find the right place tomorrow… fingers crossed!
