I want to live in a house completelly made out of legos!!!

I wish I had this idea… and the money to buy 3 million bricks of lego…

The presenter of Top Gear, James May is up there and living my dream – and most of all TB’s dream in the middle of Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking for the BBC series “James May Toy Stories”. I a, soooo gonna have to watch that!!!

May has vowed to live for a few days in the life-sized house, which comes complete with a working shower and toilet, once it has been completed.

I’m planning to stay there for two or three days, or until it falls down – whichever is sooner.  I’m pretty relaxed about it, but will just have to be careful moving around. If I wake up buried under a pile of bricks I’ll know it’s gone wrong.

Well one thing is for sure… if it works that COULD be a way to make housing prices go down as I am sure building houses out of legos would be cheapper than out of bricks! Not that some of the modern houses you see out there don;t already look as if they are made out of lego pieces but hey…

The most worrying thing of all is that he said he had the idea whilst having a beer with friends! Who said nothing good comes out of alcohol!!! LOL

As I said… I am soooo gonna have to watch that program with the TB. Too bad really they didn’t do it coser to us so I could take him to give a hand. They were letting the kiddos help make the mega bricks for the building! hehehe

I wanna live in Legoland!! How about you?? Would you live in a Lego House?!?!?!

House Hunting might be over!!! YAYYYYY!!!!

Yes, you-ve read it right! We found Dream House number 2! And it is just like it says in the bible: The glory of the second house will be greater than of the first!

Even better, It is just round the corner from TB’s school, and just round the bend from South Wimbledon Station! Nice garden and yard, LOADS of space (internal and external), well within our budget and most important of all… a HOUSE and not a flat!

All we depend now is to be approved on the Credit Check and all these boring things… and we’ll be moving on the 4th of July! Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!

CWI also has a new house: The Underground HUB is almost ready! and we’ll soon be moving our base group meetings in there. At least some of them! We’ve made some art in the walls… First Me and Cinthia did some interesting painting… then me and Vic doing some “collage” or some’t like that… She thinks it is not yet in a presentable state and there is a LOT to do before introducing the HUB to public… She might be right but I sooooooo can’t wait! You in London? Curious??? heheehe come and see.

Ok… it happened 3 days ago… but here it is!

Niente! We’ve spent the whole day out looking for houses, flats, gardened ones, way too far ones and some not so much… others not suitable at all… one of them with 3 bedrooms (would be perfect with ann office and everything for me but hey..) but no entrance to our private gardend straight from the flat… would have to go round the front of the house to get there… big no no.

Remember Dream House? another Agent got us a nice £50 discount on it… still over our target budget tho… If we squeezed a bit we could probably make it, but the whole idea of moving round there is exactly untightening the belt a bit… les stress you know? So we’re still not desperated enough to take the offer.

Hey… a good thing came out of it tho… took some cool pics while we were out… hehehehehe!!! Will post them once I get them out of the camera.

Today the hunt continues… 2 properties lined up… yay!

Today’s hunting was a COMPLETE waste of time… Fiasco!

Ludlow Thompson has promised and has NOT delivered.

To be more precise we didn’t even have to leave their office… It was taking a look at the list of flats they had to show us and see that none of them had what we have asked for… Apart from 2 bedrooms…

One down… an ethernity to go… lol…

I hope we find the right place tomorrow… fingers crossed!

Just back from today’s house hunting expedition…

After 2 cancellations due to huses coming off the market, we’ve been out to see what appeared to be our dream house. 2 Floors, small back yard/garden, 2 huge bedrooms (Tommy’s would come with a king-size bed and he was well impressed by that… lol) medium sized kitchen, lots of space in the living room/dining room… loads of space to put all our junk… As I said… our dream house.

We almost signed contract there and then actually… If it wasn’t for the agent going to call the landlord to give details about us having taken 15 minutes alone with him living us to deliberate and making maths etc we would probably have gone WAY over our heads. Ok… not WAY over our heads but pretty much.. we would be going about £200 over our budget.

Sad really… I really LOVED the house… we could probably have just made it… would have to tight our belts a bit but would do it.. but what was bugging me really is the fact that we still have time and just between tomorrow and saturday we have other 8 houses to see… what if we find something better for a better price????

And so we decided not to go for dream house…

The interesting fact is: For what the agent said, the main reason of the landlord giving us green light to move into the house was just the fact that i am a pastor… and so is he! lol

sad but feeling bit better…

The hunt goes on!
